Connection model
How the data is sent
The teacher hub, pupil devices and SchoolCommand app connect to the same local SparkSafe server on the school Wi‑Fi. Teacher and pupil App events are sent as small WebSocket messages to the local server, then SchoolCommand receives anonymised summaries by default.

Head Teacher Dashboard local-first rollup
Offline rule: Class and school progress can be imported from teacher exports or local school network sync. Remote parent/head teacher updates are delayed until local network, export/import, QR handover or internet sync is available.
Safety boundaries
- No hidden monitoring or public ranking.
- No camera, microphone, location, files, screen recording, browsing history or keyboard logging.
- Headteacher view defaults to anonymised whole-school and class-level trends.
- Named support alerts are for authorised safeguarding/education follow-up only.
- Data stays on the local school network unless the school authorises export or future live sync.
